Summary:
In Beijing, China they are planning to send their second woman ever into space. Wang Yaping will go into orbit for their longest mission yet, 15 days. Wang Yaping is a 33 year old woman and she will be accompanied by two other men, Nie Haisheng and Zhang Xiaoguang. These three people will be traveling on the Shenzhou 10 but will not leave until the space station is completely finished. While in orbit, Wang will be giving school lessons. They will dock at Tiangong 1 to carry out medical and space technology experiments. They will also be taking crucial steps to build a space station able to house people for long amounts of time. This will be China’s most complex mission yet. Their future plans are to land on the moon and build a station orbiting the earth by 2020.

China Poetry Assignment

The minister climbs the steep steps.
They greet each other with a bow.
We hear the murmurs and arguing.
The sound stops.
They come down the steps.
The treaty has been made and the war is over.

This poem has some suspense in it. Mr. Chester

Nicolaus Copernicus
Nicolaus was born on February 19, 1473 in Thorn, Royal Prussia. He studied the fields of mathematics, astronomy, canon law, medicine, and economics. Nicolaus was the first person to displace the earth from the center of the universe. He formulated "a comprehensive heliocentric cosmology" to do this. Nicolaus is known for Heliocentrism and copernicus' Law. He made a manuscript called "Commentariolus"(Little Commentary) describing his ideas about the heliocentric hypothesis. It was 40 pages long and was only available to his friends and he continued to collect research. He worked as his uncle's secratary and phisician from 1503 to 1510. HE accompanied his uncle in all of his politicle and economic duties. He died on May 24,1543; he was 70 years old.

The Swing of Life
On an old swaying swing,
The wind blowing through your hair.
It has its ups and downs.
Sometimes you get twisted and tangled,
But you always unwined.
The creaking chain,
All rusted and brown.
The old worn seat,
Torn.
You start to slow down,
And not go so high.
You stop.
Now you have to start all over,
But up again you go.

I like the swing idea. Good poem. 4's both. Mr. Chester
